National and International Tournament Success

 

 

 

 

  

Newly formed in the summer of 2004, our first major international competition was the delightful Christmas tournament in Frankfurt. Sixteen players from Northern Flight descended upon Frankfurt for a weekend of competitive badminton and sampling the German Christmas fare (especially the alcoholic parts)! 

 

Northern Flight established its credentials early, winning 11 medals in several categories:

'B+' Mens Doubles Chee Chin and Ian Roberts GOLD
'B+' Mens Doubles Ed Hubert and Sida Shao (London) SILVER
'B-' Mens Singles Paul Speakman SILVER
'B-' Mens Singles Chi Ko BRONZE
